8/10 – Today has definitely been a day of two halves. This morning was rubbish, I was tired, lacked any sort of motivation and enthusiasm and after a walk with Olly I lay on the sofa.
I had a really good afternoon with Chevy and the film crew at David Lloyd. I felt good mentally and the exercises we did in the gym have given me a new way of thinking. It made me realise how I have been stuck in my ways and routines with regards to what I do with my training and how I think that by smashing myself I will get the best results. Clearly not. For somebody with a BSc and MSc in Sport & Exercise Science I have certainly not been doing what I know is best. I have my reasons for this, and I go back to my ‘work hard as often as I can’ mind set as otherwise guilt sets in. I am determined to change this and exercise in a more structured and productive way where I will see better results both physically and mentally.
